124 Steps to PerfectionProfessional Hair Scissors · Refined in Japan
Every Juntetsu shear passes through 124 hand-inspected steps at our Saitama workshop before it leaves Japan. Flagship lines Japanese-forged from Japanese steel; every pair finished by the same craftsmen who choose the materials.
Three principles
that do not bend.曲げない三つの原則
The space between.Ma · negative space
An object is defined by what surrounds it. Every element of Juntetsu — from the hand-finished blade to the washi box it sleeps in — is given room to breathe. Restraint, not ornament.
Purity of material.Jun · purity
Our name is our obsession. VG-10, 440C, cobalt-alloy and aluminium-cobalt — each drawn from Japanese mills, selected for purity without compromise. The steel is the promise.
The master's hand.Takumi · mastery
Every pair passes through the eye and hand of the craftsmen who chose its steel. Finished at our Saitama workshop, inspected against 124 points — only then does the piece earn the Juntetsu mark.
Four flagship series.四つのシリーズ、一つの基準
Not a catalogue. A quiet progression — from the foundational Hanami to the ultralight Aero Pro Cobalt flagship, each built to outlast the stylist who first held it.
The Saitama workshop.埼玉の自社工房 · 日本仕上げ
Four generations of Tokyo blade-making craft, carried forward in our Saitama workshop. We do not franchise. We do not scale. Every pair is finished and inspected by the same hands that chose the steel.

Seven stages.七つの工程 — 埼玉の基準
Material selection
Flagship lines use Japanese VG-10 / 440C; other lines use alloys chosen for hardness-to-flex balance. Aero Pro uses aerospace-grade aluminium-cobalt.
Forging · Tanzou
Flagship lines forged in Tokyo. Heat read by the colour of the steel, not a thermometer — the craftsman's judgement is the instrument.
Edge setting
The convex edge — the Japanese hamaguri-ba — is hand-shaped. This is the geometry that defines how the blade meets hair.
Hand sharpening
Master craftsmen hand-grind on natural Japanese whetstones, drawing out the blade's final cutting character.
Assembly · Kumitate
Pivot set by hand, tension calibrated to the craftsman's ear. A correctly-tensioned pair rings at 440 Hz.
Finish · Shiage
Polished on a wool wheel, coated with camellia oil. Every pair is inspected against 124 points before it leaves the workshop.
Seal · Rakkan
Only what passes the 124-point standard earns the Juntetsu mark. A signature, not a stamp.
