The Cobalt Vertex Slide is Juntetsu's slide-cut specialist — a Takefu VG-10 cobalt shear with a 45-degree convex edge geometry tuned to glide through hair with minimal resistance during the slide-cutting motion. Where traditional convex edges catch and release in a controlled bite, the Vertex geometry is drawn out for the long drawing motions that define slide cutting as a technique. The cobalt variant of VG-10 adds a marginal hardness edge over standard VG-10, and the offset handle supports the extended reach of a slide cut. Every pair is materials-checked by our scissor specialists and hand-inspected at our Saitama facility in Japan before it ships — the shear for stylists whose cutting style is defined by the slide.
