Small habits protect the cutting edge.
Clean, dry, lightly oil, and store your scissors with care. When cutting performance changes, use a qualified professional sharpener familiar with hair-scissor edge geometry.
After the working day
1. Remove residue
With the scissors closed and handled carefully, wipe hair and product residue from both blades using a clean, soft cloth.
2. Dry completely
Pay attention to the pivot and the space between the blades. Do not store the tool while damp.
3. Apply a small amount of oil
Place one drop of scissor oil at the pivot, open and close the blades gently, then wipe away the excess.
Tension
If the blades feel unusually loose, tight, or begin pushing hair, stop and check the tension before continuing. Make only small adjustments with the correct tool. If you are unsure, ask the seller or a qualified scissor technician.
Storage
Store clean, dry scissors in a protective case with the blades closed. Keep them separate from combs, clips, and other metal tools that could contact the edge.
Sharpening is specialist work
Do not use kitchen-knife sharpeners or attempt to reshape the edge yourself. Choose a professional sharpener who works with salon scissors and understands the edge type shown for your model. Ask your authorised seller for local guidance if needed.
Avoid
- Dropping or throwing scissors onto a hard surface
- Cutting packaging, wire, fabric, or other non-hair materials
- Forcing the blades when hair or residue is caught at the pivot
- Using corrosive cleaners or soaking the scissors
- Continuing to cut when the blades are damaged or misaligned
